Generosity is at the heart of following Jesus. We give because God first gave to us most fully in Jesus Christ. When we open our hands with what we have, we're declaring our trust in Him, loosening money's grip on our hearts, and allowing His Spirit to shape us into people who reflect His generosity to the world.
Everything we have — our resources, our time, our abilities — comes from God. Giving is not about losing something; it's about returning to God what already belongs to Him. It's an act of worship that reminds us He is the true provider and sustainer of our lives.
"The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it." — Psalm 24:1
From the beginning, God set apart the tithe as a way for His people to trust Him with their resources. Tithing isn't about money — it's about worship. It breaks self-reliance, reminds us that everything we have comes from God, and reorders our hearts around His generosity.
"Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse… Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty. — Malachi 3:10
In the New Testament, Jesus raises the bar: everything we have belongs to Him. Generosity is not measured by a percentage but by a posture of the heart. We don't give to check a box or to earn favor — we give in response to God's extravagant grace, allowing His love to overflow into our finances, our time, and our daily lives.
"Freely you have received; freely give." — Matthew 10:8
The Fruit of Stewardship
When we're obedient with the tithe, God works through our church. This isn't why we give — we give out of obedience — but it's the beautiful fruit of faithful stewardship.

Since our beginning in 2016, Grace City Church has existed as a portable church. We believe Jesus is leading us to begin pursuing the purchase of a permanent location. Be a part of this incredible legacy and impact.
